Elegant Touch Envy Nail Wraps

I am obsessed with painting my nails at the moment; my nail polish collection has increased quite a bit recently! And I've been dying to try nail wraps, as they seem perfect for achieving effortless quirky and intricate nail designs.

The first on my list to try were Elegant Touches Envy Wraps, the Bengal tiger design. The design is a gorgeous metallic gold base with a black tiger pattern. I was actually quite surprised when I opened the packet to find more of a sticker type wrap as oppose to the foil wraps I had in mind.

The instructions required a clear dry base coat before applying the design, I just used my Sally Hansen clear nail polish. Once dry I try to select the best fit sized 'sticker' for each nail, some fitted perfectly whereas other were a bit more tricky and required some careful scissor action. Once applied to fit, the overhang of the sticker to customise the length to how long or short your nails are could be easily trimmed using the nail file that came i the pack. The whole application processes was very quick! The only issue I found I has was that sometimes the sticker beveled in some areas but this is quite understandable as every nail shape is unique.

I was a little concerned that being more of a sticker type wrap that they would easily peel of and wouldn't last long, but to my surprise I've already had them on for about a week and the only wear and tear is at the tips of the nails very slightly. The instructions also required a clear top coat too which also helps to increase the life of the design.

Overall i am really happy and impressed with the first nail wraps I tried. I've had many complements on them and this design is perfect, its not too OTT or too obvious, I love it! What's more I even have enough stickers left for another whole application!

You can find Elegant Touch Envy Wraps in Boots or Superdrug for about £5

Jennifer Aniston Perfume

You simply can't get away from celebrity endorsed perfumes, they're everywhere. Some good and some shockingly awful, however not all celebrity fragrances should be shunted and Jennifer Aniston is one to try.

Since growing up, watching re-runs of the well known American TV sitcom Friends I've developed a huge soft spot for Jennifer. Embarrassingly, I actually wrote a speech on why she was a role model to me for a speech competition when I was in my first year of secondary school, cringe! Did anyone else dread these as much as me?!

Jennifer Aniston actually released her perfume back in 2010 but I've only really just got around to sniffing it out. Her vision for her first perfume was intended to be 'sexy, clean and to  create memories of the beach, of vacation and of falling in love' and most of all 'to smell unique on everyones skin'

I really love the design of the perfume bottle, its actually fits really well with her intended vision. The bottles architecture definitely reminds me of the ocean, its very clean and organic looking.

As for the scent its fresh, balanced, musky white, floral with a touch of citrus. I would be more likely to wear this in the summer but to be honest I quite like wearing it on a casual day to lift my mood, in an attempt to remind me of summer in these cold and wet winter days. I found that I lasted pretty well throughout the day, however I would say that its not as memorable as my other perfumes. Its quite a safe everyday scent, very pleasant and elegant.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with Miss Aniston's perfume and most importantly it looks lovely on my dressing table! :)

Have you ever tried Jen's perfume, did you rate it? What's you're favourite signature scent? and do you change your perfumes with the seasons? I'd love to hear from you :)

Christmas Cocktail

If you're anything like me and love anything chocolately then you have to try this Christmas cocktail! I made this last friday with some of my friends to celebrate the end of our winter term at University and they went down a treat!

To make this yummy treat you'll need:

❄ Vodka
❄ Hot chocolate
❄ Ice
❄ Cocktail glasses
❄ A bar of your favourite chocolate
❄ Milk
❄ And a cocktail shaker (but this isn't a necessity)

Serves 6-8

First make 3 mugs of hot chocolate using your hot chocolate mix and milk

Then leave to cool

Next crush some ice and add this to your cocktail shaker along with some vodka we used about a 3/4 of a mug as we didn't want it to be too alcoholic, but you can add as much or as
little as you want...taste as you go :)

Add the cold 'hot' chocolate

Then pour into glasses with chocolate shavings to decorate...we even went a little bit more
decadent and melted some chocolate to swirl on top

Have fun hope you enjoy :)

Merry Christmas

Collection 2000 Metallic Cream Eyeshadows Review && Swatches

These creamy molten metal eye shadows by Collection 2000 are amazingly versatile and easy to manipulate. Perfect for the beginner or those with more experience.

These cream eye shadows are quite unique in that they come in packaged in a lipgloss esque container and with dainty a doe foot applicator. Great for application on the go, popping into your handbag for a day to night transformation. I’ve been addicted to these the last few weeks as they’re so adaptable, I’ve used them together, on their own, as liquid liner or as an all over wash of colour. The packaging is adorable and you can easily see what colour the formula is which is perfect for a quick selection. The best part is how affordable they are, just £2.99.Bargain! A couple of shades wont set you back much, definitely an inexpensive must have.

There are 6 colour choices available Rock Pool an electric blue, Copper Pot a deep copper, Platinum Bling a slightly purple silver, Gold Rush a liquid gold, Rock N Rose a cool toned pink and Emerald City a gorgeous green.

The cream forumla is quite wet but easy to apply, blend and work with. I find that to increase the intensity of the colour a few layers are needed but the results are worth it. The even finish is rich and gives a multidimensional metallic appearance. They dry fast and last all day without creasing! Amazing!

The pigmentation is variable depending on how you apply the shadow. For an opaque finish apply more product onto your lid and blend less but for a sheerer finish simply add less product and blend more. The product can be applied and blend with a brush or a finger, which ever you feel more confident with.

Copper Pot - This is a medium copper, with slight bronzy tones.

Emerald City – Rich dark forest green with golden undertones. It looks amazing on brown eyes!

Platinum Bling - a slight 'dirty' silver, not as dark as gunmetal, but not as bright as silver.

Gold Rush – Slightly rose gold toned light gold

Rock n Rose – A gorgeous dusty metallic pink with silver undertones

Platinum Bling, Copper Pot, Rock n Rose, Gold Rush and Emerald Green

Have you tried these? What did you think and whats your favourite? My most used shade has to been Emerald Green, its gorgeous! I tend to shy away from green eye shadows but i'm loving my new found obsession :)

Honey I got the Mustard - Transitional Winter Nails

One popular trend that is carrying into the winter season is definitely the statement colour, mustard.  Celebrities as well as fashion designers have been using this colour, seen constantly on the catwalks of London, Milan and
New York Fashion weeks.

This colour can be easily worked into your winter wardrobe. Not just to be used as a main statement piece, but  also through various accessories, adding a pop of colour to any basic outfit.  Mustard yellow shoes, scarves, purses, and jewellery pieces are everywhere.

I personally love the colour but with my skin tone I find it a little hard to pull off. But to keep mustard in my life I've taken to painting it on my nails..the shade mustard that is! There's nothing HOT in smelling like a hotdog!  To add a summer essence to my winter wardrobe and by using some of my summer polishes I've managed to save some much needed pennies.

2 polishes that havent seen the light of day since the summer:
- Barry M's Yellow
- And Essense Gold Rush
With a Fall magazine freebie
- Nails inc Basil Street

What do you think of the colour mustard as a Fall/Winter trend? How have you been rocking it?
